Our Mission

Our mission is to save lives by empowering providers with tools and data that create meaningful, measurable advances in real-world mental healthcare.

Meet The Founders

Our Story

Dave and Steve are ambitious adventurers at heart. From bicycling across the United States to motorcycling through Vietnam, they've always pushed boundaries and embraced challenges. This spirit of adventure extended to business, where they achieved remarkable results—including growing iTrust Wellness Group, and outpatient psychiatric practice, from a single provider practice to the 4th fastest growing company in South Carolina.

Despite building a thriving practice with exceptional providers, they couldn't systematically track outcomes or replicate success. While Dave collaborated with Wen to create innovative operational tools, the core challenge remained—mental healthcare lacked objective measurement systems that fit real-world clinical workflows.

They recognized that proper measurement could transform mental healthcare by identifying best practices, evaluating effectiveness of treatments, matching patients with ideal providers, and shifting toward value-based care models.

But this wasn't just about data—it was about saving lives. They had witnessed firsthand how suicide rates, hospitalizations, and medication complications could be reduced with proper clinical insight and action. Without objective measurement, critical warning signs were being missed, and opportunities for life-saving interventions were lost. Each data point represented a person whose life could be dramatically improved—or even saved—through better clinical insights.

When South Carolina's largest insurer, Blue Cross Blue Shield, invited them to pilot an outcome measurement platform, they discovered existing tools created more burden than benefit in busy clinical settings.

Working in the trenches of outpatient mental healthcare, they saw providers struggling daily with impossible caseloads, limited time per patient, and minimal insight into whether treatments were working between appointments. Simply adding a new tool wouldn't work. They needed to find a more foundational way to approach this.

Solving this problem would become their next great adventure. They envisioned empowering providers with tools that would transform overwhelming data into clear, actionable insights at the point of care. By reducing administrative burden while increasing clinical visibility, providers could reclaim their time and focus on what they do best—using their expertise and compassion to help patients heal and thrive.

Today, this adventure has evolved into a mission to save lives by empowering providers with tools and data that create meaningful, measurable advances in real-world mental healthcare. Kenzie AI—named after their faithful office dog who witnessed the entire journey—represents their first step toward that vision: technology that transforms clinical data into life-saving insights for mental healthcare providers who are on the front lines every day.
